Emeraude Toubia

Emeraude is an Canadian actor who is best recognized for her role in the fantasy TV series Shadowhunters on Freeform, as well as Venevision television series Cosita linda and Voltea Pa' Que Te Enamores. As a dancer and model Toubia has also had the success she has achieved in both areas. She was born in Montreal and has resided in Texas since childhood, and always enjoyed doing shows. From a young age she was learned a range different styles of dancing. As she reached the age of 15 old, she started competing in beauty pageants. In 1999, she made her first on-screen appearance in Televisa's children's program El Mundo de los Ninos. Toubia gained a lot of attention in 2008 when she took part in Season 2 of Univision beauty pageant series Nuestra Belleza Latina. She made her acting debut in the year 2010, playing a receptionist in the Telemundo television show Aurora. Her debut film was the action-drama Tattooed Love in 2015. In the film, for her role as Shadowhunters, Shadowhunters, Toubia was nominated for the Teen Choice Awards for Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi in 2017. She also won in 2018.
