Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder, professionally Winona Ryder, was born on Winona Minnesota. Her parents named her after the town she grew up in. Michel Horowitz was her father and Cynthia Palmer, his mother was both an author as well as editors. Ryder's dad was born into a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. Ryder is the youngest sister of Uria, and has half-siblings Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder as well as her entire family relocated to Mendocino County in California in the year 2000, when Ryder was seven. In those days, there wasn't electricity. Ryder was a voracious read because they had no television. Ryder began taking acting lessons in the American Conservatory Theatre in 1983 at the age of 12. In 1986 she landed her first role on the big screen in the movie Lucas when she was just 15 years old. Ryder experienced bullying at high school. She hoped acting might change the situation. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. She continued to pursue her ambitions. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her first big breakthrough. Ryder was a star in numerous films. He was nominated for two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
