Donald Joseph Qualls (also known as DJ Qualls) is a fashion actor and model American actor. Apart from his Road Trip role, he has also been seen in The New Guy Hustle & Flow as well as The Core. In addition, he's appeared in more than 22 series, including Breaking Bad Supernatural and Scrubs. Qualls had been diagnosed as having Hodgkin's Lymphoma at age 14 and has been fighting this disease since. Two years later, the cancer is now in the process of remission. Being treated at such a young age had an adverse effect on his body. It hindered his development. Once he was acting, financial security was his goal. He was a victim of the poverty of his youth. Interviewer stated that as he had lived so sparingly over a period of time I was in need of the financial security to feel confident and at ease. He also looks back at his youth and hopes to address the issue of bullies. "Cruelty is a pain to me," he said. Both in real life and on the screen, DJ could like to play the role of a father. He admits that Directors don't want to cast DJ in such roles. It's a dream to one day be a parent himself, when the time comes when he can devote more time with his career and dedicate it to his child.
